ORANGE WATER

Decades ago, it must have started 60 or 70 years ago, the city of Santa Monica’s sewage treatment plant broke down for the last time and raw sewage once again poured out of the big pipe that emptied into the ocean. When they didn’t fix the problem, the state of California, or L.A. County, I’m not sure which, began fining them $10,000 a day, or maybe it was a week, for pouring all that foul, untreated crap into the ocean water.

It turned out that because the city had grown so big in population, and a new sewage treatment plant would have to be much bigger than the old one and cost a lot of money to build, maintain and operate, that it was actually cheaper to just keep paying the fine.

So the ocean water along the whole Southern California coast is now a brownish orange, the same color as, yep, you guessed it, and on all the fishing piers there’s lots of signs that say “DON’T EAT THE FISH”. Because the fish that you catch now off those piers are loaded with murderous bacteria. I went out on one of the piers once to look at the fish they were catching and man, those were the ugliest, nastiest looking fish I’d ever seen. I’m not sure what they were, some sort of foul little critters that can survive in pollution, that never used to live there before. The waters there used to be crystal clear, you could seen 30 feet down to the bottom on a sunny day and watch the fish and the crabs moving about, but they’re all dead and gone now because the city managers of Santa Monica were a pack of selfish, inconsiderate assholes who cared more about the city budget and their pet projects than they did about the environment and the millions of people sharing it.

Moving right along here, in other news today, I’m learning how to hobble and getting really good at it. I woke up this morning with my left calf sore as a boil and have no idea why, but I’m limping real good because of it. That’s the problem with an aging body. My brain is doing fine but the rest of the 82 year old me isn’t. I have COPD, from asbestos and other pollutants, and I already run out of breath pretty quick just walking up a gentle hill. I bought one of those doodads you put on your finger that reads your blood oxygen, and mine is 95 on a good day. 100 is normal. Yesterday it hit 89 and started flashing at me, because that’s a danger zone. If your blood oxygen level goes down too much, your heart beats faster to pump more blood to make up for it, and that can cause a heart attack. I may be a candidate for one of those oxygen generators that you see on peoples hips, with a little tube ending in a nose clip, before long.

Then there’s all the gassing up that’s been going on, belching, farting and tap dancing like a true Tralfamadorian, along with tremors starting to develop in both arms, and my right eye is going south. So with all that going on, I’ve had to admit the truth, that my plan to live forever may have to be put on hold or even abandoned.

That would be a shame because I was really looking forward to seeing human colonies on the Moon, Mars and the La Grange points in space and that may not happen. Of course, if it does and I miss it, I won’t care. Hard to care, when you’re not there.

RAIN

It flat out poured last night. For a mountain so-called desert area, we sure get a lot of rain in the winter. Not that the folks down in the cities are complaining, they suck up every last drop of water they can get with their thirsty teeming masses flushing and watering and letting their faucets drip and leak. The Colorado River used to run to the sea. Not anymore, it stops well inland in California. Sucked dry.

I have mixed emotions about the rain. It keeps the fire danger down when it rains, but it also makes lots of highly flammable stuff grow like gangbusters, and when the fires start, the rain is nowhere to be seen. Too long and heavy of a downpour erodes the mountainsides, floods our streets and makes some serious problems, but if it didn’t rain at all it would be impossible to live here.

Kind of reminds me of most people. Hard to live with them and hard to live without them. What a philosopher I am, I should write a book of homilies. The only one I remember about rain, though, was once when I was listening to a radio talk show during a storm, and some really doofus sounding guy called in to say that where he was at, “It’s raining like a big dog”. What in HELL do dogs of any size have to do with how much it’s raining? The woman doing the radio show plainly thought the same thing, and asked him “Like a big dog?” and he assured her, “Yeah, just like a big dog.” That was possibly one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard on the radio. Good thing for that guy he wasn’t on television instead, so no one could see who he was.

Well anyway, the tops of the mountains are still white, so the rain was snow instead, up there, which means that the Sierra snow pack is storing away lots of water to slowly melt and feed the streams that will keep the Southern California masses flushing their toilets next summer. I’ll have something more to add to this, tomorrow, regarding the ocean. Stay tuned.

SLAVERY IS LIKE RUSSIA

The slavery story is like the Russia story, it never dies. There was a documentary on TV last night about slavery in the USA. The practice of slavery that existed in some of the states ended 156 years ago, and over 360,000 white men died fighting to end it. It’s almost ancient history now. Pushing the slavery button is like whipping a dead horse, that horse will never get up again, it will just lay there and keep smelling worse and worse until it’s finally buried.

The only people today who own other humans as slaves are some Muslims and possibly some Africans. And of course the Chinese and North Koreans. No one in the USA alive today is guilty of owning another human being.

These continuing racist attacks on white people aren’t helping our nation a bit. Nearly 70% of us are white, so starting a race war looks like a loser for the minorities. Stirring up hatred between the races may make the race baiters an income but it’s totally unbecoming of our elected representatives who are the worst offenders, and most of them are white and just doing it to virtue signal for votes. Let’s end the discord. We’re all tired of it.

WHITENESS FOREVER

With all the White Leftist’s racist attacks on White people for being born Caucasian, I thought it appropriate today to point out that snow is white. That’s because when it snows, it doesn’t snow pink or purple or black, it ALWAYS snows white and there’s not a goddam thing the LGBTQXYZ people or anyone else can do about that. I mention this because it snowed last night and is still likely to snow more, and let me tell you with absolutely no uncertainty, that snow is really, seriously and unreservedly white.

It’s whiter than the whitest White people. If you want to get really “out there” racist, then it’s snow that you should be verbally assaulting as being Privileged for its color. Snow is very privileged. It goes anywhere it wants to. It totally ignores fences and borders and national sovereignty. It settles in anywhere it likes and too bad if you don’t like it. Ban it all you like, it laughs at you, or would laugh if it had brain cells and a mouth, but anyway………..

Yes, this is about stupidity. Thank you for reading.

SUNDAY SERMON

God damn it, it’s cold outside. Amen. It’s Sunday all day today, but that’s okay because I know it will pass. I have great faith.

I was thinking about two women I knew, for some pointless reason only my subconscious understands, as I was waking up this morning. They were friends of my last wife’s and they were both lesbians, which is understandable as my wife left me to become a lesbian after she got out of rehab for alcoholism and drug addiction.

Anyway, both those two gals are dead. One of them killed herself, at the age of 60 and the following year the other one died, also at 60, because her liver failed as a result of her constant heavy drinking. She drank herself to death, so I guess you could say she also committed suicide. You’re welcome for this happy story, it fits perfectly with the frozen view of our great outdoors, totally overcast, dark, no sun, frost covering the ground and everything else. Winter gobbles.

It was because of the ex-wife that I knew these queers and I have to say it was a true learning experience. There’s still a colony of them back there, a ranch commune of all lesbians, and their frequent squabbles and disagreements were fodder for the local free paper, that chronicled all their pairings and breakups and stupid disputes. One thing I came away with from that experience was a true insight into just how really mentally screwed up lesbians are.

There wasn’t a single one of them who actually was born preferring sex with other women. Not one. Every one of them had some sort of really bad experiences with men. They’re all afraid of men. They’re not queer because they love women, they’re queer because they’re filled with hatred and fear of men, so no wonder they’re all so mentally fucked up. Instead of dealing with their bad memories they try to run from them, and sorry, but memories stay with you for life.

So you can either bump yourself off to escape them, or you can face them.

Personally I think it’s a good thing that people like that, both women and men, turn to their own sex (should I say Gender?) for sex and partnering, because that way they don’t reproduce more weak-minded, self-destructive people like themselves. There’s too many trash humans with garbage genes now as it is. Where I draw the line is this “Trans” bullshit. I don’t give a royal rats ass what sex you “identify with” or whether you prefer to think of yourself as a sexless alien, a lizard person or what. Men can wear dresses and makeup, women can glue on fake beards, both can get operations to make them look like the opposite sex, it doesn’t matter, it’s still bullshit, we are what we’re born as and our DNA will always give us away.

Praise the Great Me, Amen.

NOW WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT?

“China, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos and Ted Turner Buy Up Massive Amounts of American Farm Land”. The Chinks just bought our largest pig farm/pork producer. So now instead of buying pork from us, they raise it here and ship it to China. Saves a lot of money and avoids the tariffs. They’re buying up regular farm land as well. You know all that produce is going to be shipped back to China instead of feeding Americans, so this sounds like a bad move on our part.

As for Gates, Bezos and Turner, they’re probably just expanding their empires, but chances are good they know something the rest of us aren’t being clued in on. Like maybe a sudden massive increase in our population, resulting in soaring food prices? Could be, and if that’s happening here it’s going to happen in the rest of the world too.

I like to think ahead. It’s a habit I learned from youth, playing chess. I was never that great a chess player but the value of planning as far ahead as possible stuck with me, so when I see news like the above, I start wondering what it means for the future.

I’d like to think that Earth’s human population is destined to decline soon but this big focus on locking down massive corporate farm areas by a few entities dissuades me from that view. The push to maximize populations as a form of military superiority clearly isn’t over yet.

Not that I give a damn, I don’t. My concern is purely selfish, inflation is a bad thing for those who live mostly on retirement savings.

BUY GOLD

Really. Buy gold. Things ARE going to be changing rapidly now that there’s a new regime running things and one of the biggest changes is most likely to be inflation. Here in the USA it’s a given that there’s going to be lots of people migrating here illegally, and that word “illegally” may not be real accurate. I mean, if they’re allowed to swarm in here by our government, how is it illegal?

But the point is that there’s going to be more people here than jobs for them, in fact that’s the situation now, and a lot more people will make it a lot worse, and our benevolent rulers will of course want to feed them and house them, so they’ll have to print more money to pay for it all, and the more money there is per person, the less it’s worth. We all know that. So buy some gold and stash it away now. One thing about gold, it’s always worth the same amount in terms of currency. You don’t really make a profit on it but when the currency is worth less, the gold is worth more currency and you break even. Holding currency, you don’t break even, you lose.

Yesterday was windy. I mean, it was WINDY, a real blaster. It started in the night before and shook the house all night and on into the next day and night. Lots of tree limbs were knocked down but no real damage around here, fortunately. At least, living out here in a mountain desert community, even when we have torrential rains I can’t get flooded out because it all runs downhill. Sorry about that, all you flatlanders. 🙂

It’s a not-so-brave New World,

so let’s just ignore it. That won’t make it go away, but it will improve the view.

I decided to carry on with blogging simply because I enjoy speaking my mind, whether anyone is listening or not. Then there’s the added bonus of people actually responding and sharing thoughts, and there’s nothing like a little attention and communication to let us know we’re still part of the world during all the lockdowns and distancing.
